The prompt was plain English: “Design the smallest ESP32 board that you can.” No datasheet pack, no BOM, no mechanical envelope.
CopperPilot came back with the ESP32-PICO-MINI-02: RF frontend, crystal, and flash already folded into the module, then USB-to-serial, boot/reset switches, an LDO, and a Qwiic connector around it. A few nudges later the schematic was clean enough to hand to a teammate, not just electrically correct.
