In March we joined RuntimeBRT to walk through how CopperPilot fits into real hardware bring-up—not as a demo gimmick, but as a daily workflow for engineers shipping physical products.

The conversation covered three themes that keep coming up with teams we work with.

First, hardware context is fragmented. Schematics, BOMs, firmware, test logs, and vendor emails all describe the same board, but none of them talk to each other. A copilot that only sees one file at a time is not very useful.

Second, the best AI assistance is specific. “Pick a buck converter” is a weak prompt. “Given this input range, this load profile, and these height constraints, what are the tradeoffs between these three parts we already short-listed?” is a strong one. CopperPilot is designed for the second kind of question.

Third, review belongs earlier. Teams often treat compliance, thermal, and errata checks as late-stage fire drills. Moving those checks closer to the design phase is one of the fastest ways to recover schedule.
