A GPS board with PPS and a backup battery

A GNSS breakout with a dedicated PPS LED and a backup battery plus protection diode, built end to end in KiCad.

A GPS board with PPS and a backup battery

We asked CopperPilot for a boring GPS board. It did not give us one.

It put PPS on its own LED, which most GPS breakouts skip, and which is the difference between a position module and something useful for precision timing. It also added a backup battery with a protection diode, so the module can take a fast fix after the first power-up instead of starting cold every time.
